Dryer Times

The dryer sheets you casually throw into your dryer, use in your closet and luggage  — yes those in the bright orange box …

THEY ARE TOXIC!

The Consumer Product Safety Commission, which regulates cleaning supplies, air fresheners, and laundry products, currently does not require manufacturers to disclose any ingredients on the label, including fragrances in these products. Some of those ingredients are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are dangerous to you and your family!

That means risk to you and your family because we don’t even know what’s in them that could be impacting your health!

The average dry sheet contains 25 VOCs. Those VOCs include things like:

  1. Acetaldehyde

  2. Benzene

These are toxic poisons!

What Can You Do?

The alternative to using these terrible dryer sheets is to use wool dryer balls. These come in an array of sizes and are reusable with a long lifespan. The benefit of using these is your overall drying time will be reduced and wrinkles are also less!

You can purchase wool dryer balls from places like Amazon and Etsy.

For scent you can add essential oils like these to provide softening and scent throughout your laundry. I recommend these oils as great for your laundry:

  1. Lavender

  2. Lemon

  3. Purify

  4. Melaleuca for work uniforms and odors

  5. Cedarwood

  6. Wild Orange

Simply apply 2-4 drops of oil on each wool dryer ball and pop them into the dryer.
