With the change of season coming soon, we can expect the annual march of the bugs to attempt to setup in our homes. We deal with bugs year round it seems but more so in the Fall when they are seeking nice warm places to continue thriving, laying eggs and whatever things bugs do in their day.
The best way to deal with bugs is make your home and self undesirable to them before they take up residence. Proactive treatment can be applied using natural essential oils that are not harmful to your family members and pets yet effectively deal with these unwanted guests.
Ants
Use Peppermint and Spearmint in a spray with water around windows, doors, sinks and other areas where ants tend to enter your home.
Beetles
Spraying Peppermint and Thyme around your patio will keep it free of unwanted beetles and that loud noise they make when they fly by.
Mosquitoes
Spray yourself, children and pets with Lavender and Lemongrass or use doTERRA TerraShield before going outdoors. Mosquitoes will avoid you!
Flies
There is seriously nothing more annoying than flies that get in the house or try to take over an outdoor picnic or cookout. Luckily, they will move on to a safe space when you surround your environment with Rosemary and Peppermint.
Spray outdoor tablecloths to protect food.
Use inside in the kitchen to deter them.
Spiders and Gnats
Is there anything more icky than a spider web? Use Peppermint and Lavender on a cloth to tackle corners and spaces where webs tend to come up.
Roaches
By far the bug that bugs me the most! Use Eucalyptus and Melaleuca in a spray to proactive prevent them from entering your home!
